1. i) must deliver immediate results, ie made a positive impact quickly
2. ii) must be authentic, as people can read if you are genuine or not

iii) have the courage of your convictions, by taking ownership of what you want to achieve

1. iv) provide clarity, especially in communications, so people know what you want
2. v) understand the business you are in - so you become knowledgeable of all sections of the business, ideally by working both ‘in’ and ‘on’ the business
3. vi) have a supportive personal life and circle of friends, so you are able to have authentic & private conversations

viii) find a suitable work-life balance, with hobbies outside work
