Motivation (positive reinforcement at work cont. 6)
Some Ideas to Implement Positive Reinforcement
Introduction
Some approaches include
i) keep tidy workspace (excessive clutter interferes with efficiency and cosmetic look of the workplace; encourage and reinforce organisation)
ii) capture creativity (record all creative ideas irrespective of current suitability)
iii) share your skills (co-workers learn from each other)
iv) beautify your office (add flora (plants) and fauna (fish) to your office)
v) make breaks matter (encourage people to meet informally during breaks like lunch, morning and afternoon tea, ie a great place to exchange ideas, etc; encourage employees to move around the office as a basis to re-energise, etc)
vi) manage personal rewards (reward people after completing a task, like latte, smoothie, etc)
vii) natural light (regular exposure to natural light reinforces mental and physical well-being)
viii) encourage passion in the work ( encourage people to find meaning in their work so that they'll be intrinsically rewarded and do a better job; match employees with fulfilling work and employees to seek out meaningful tasks)
