Mindsets
To develop a growth mindset, you have to understand what engages you.
One way to do this is to reflect back on your life experiences when you developed interests.
Need to move away from having a fixed mindset, ie
"...I already know what my interests are, so what's the point? Why would I make the effort to engage in something that I already know won't be of interest to me?
Additionally, people with fixed mindsets may have lower resistance if they encounter difficulties in pursuing their passions..."
Paul O'Keefe as quoted by Lucy Dean, 2024
Furthermore, looking at your current habits and determine what's driving you to maintain them.
"...For example, if on your working day you go out for a run at lunch, then ask yourself: is it the sun I enjoy? Is it the physical challenge? Is it the social aspect of running with colleagues? Is it just getting out of the office and into a new space?..."
Garth Furber as quoted by Lucy Dean, 2024
